Fall Ball - 2020
Sandlot Rules & Regulations
Due to the ongoing worldwide pandemic, Greater Northeast Little League (GNELL) will utilize the Little League Sandlot Fun Days for the Fall 2020 season. All players and participants must follow guidelines outlined in the 2020 Little League Regulations, Official Rules, and Operating Policies.
Games - Games will start the week of September 21, 2020. The first game schedules will be posted below on 9/18/20.
Practices - All players regardless of age or talent level are invited to open practices. Practices will be on September 14 & 17 at 6:30PM at Kirby Friendship Park.
League Age – GNELL will utilize the 2021 Little League Baseball age chart to determine league age. League age is the players age as of 8/31/2021.
Structure – GNELL will place players in divisions based on league age. Should there not be enough players to form two teams, some divisions may be combined.
Schedules - Every Friday, a schedule will be posted on the website. Players must sign up for games in their respective divisions. Players who sign up for games but do not attend their game will not be allowed to sign up the following week. Players may play in as many games as they wish in a week. If a game does not have 20 registered participants 24 hours prior to game time, the game will be canceled.

Waiting List – Each game will also have a waiting list. If you’re interest in playing in that game and it’s full, sign up on the waiting list. The waiting list will help us determine if we need to add additional games the following week.
Fees - Parents must report to the concession stand prior to the game and sign in their player and pay the registration fee. The fee is $5 per player per game. There is no charge for Tball players.
Teams – The teams will be selected by drawing numbered rocks prior to the game. The players that draw the red rocks will be visitors in the first base dugout and the players that draw blue rocks will be the home team in the third base dugout. The number on the rock will indicate the position in the batting lineup.
Coaches – Each game will require at least two coaches per game – one in each dugout. After the teams have drawn rocks, the coaches will agree to the fairness of the teams and make sure each team has adequate pitchers and catchers. If necessary, pitchers and catchers may switch teams during the game.
Rules – All rules in the rule book still apply. All divisions will bat the lineup. Pitch counts must be followed and mandatory days of rest observed.
Uniforms – No uniforms will be provided from the league. Players are encouraged to wear previous years uniforms.
